Beta notice ยท Updated 25 October 2026. Operator contact details, retention schedules, and regional eligibility must be confirmed before public launch. This notice is not a legal compliance certification.
Orion is an experimental assistant for writing, analysis, reasoning, and examining supplied content, operated by The Orion Project. Features, availability, and access may change. These terms describe the present Beta.
You must be at least 18 to use this Gemini-powered Beta and comply with applicable law and Google's API terms. Do not use it on behalf of someone else without authority. The underlying API terms concern professional and business development use; suitability for a wider consumer service must be confirmed by the operator. Access is not offered as a way to evade regional, age, billing, or provider restrictions.
Google requires paid API services for clients made available to users in the EEA, Switzerland, and UK. Free-tier availability is not permission to offer an unpaid service in those regions. Do not submit sensitive, confidential, or personal information through unpaid credentials. See Google's Gemini API terms.
The demo allows three messages per pseudonymous network identifier per rolling 24 hours, not per calendar day. A five-second server-enforced cooldown applies between messages. Shared networks may share the allowance. Provider errors or overload may pause the demo for everyone for approximately one minute; entering an active access key uses a separate participant allocation. No uptime or exact recovery time is guaranteed.
Access is limited by available dedicated API-key slots. Requesting access does not guarantee approval. An administrator reviews applications, and approved participants receive a personal access key. The default allowance is 75 messages per key per UTC day, resetting at 00:00 UTC, with a five-second cooldown. Provider request limits also apply, including to memory and transcription work.
New access normally lasts up to 30 days, or until an applicable active wave ends. Access can be suspended or revoked earlier. A revoked or expired key cannot be reused for a later wave; a new approval creates a different key. Revocation ends access, including existing sessions, but is not a request to erase all stored data.
Keep your access key private. Do not sell, share, publish, guess, or attempt to bypass keys, quotas, or participant isolation. You are responsible for use you authorize and for signing out on shared devices. Email the-orion-project@zohomail.eu if you believe your key has been compromised.
Only submit content you have the right to use and send to the service and its model provider. Obtain any necessary permission before uploading another person's content or recording their speech. Do not upload secrets, credentials, malware, or unlawful content. Instructions inside uploads do not override the assistant's safety and privacy rules.
You retain whatever rights you have in your content. Using the service permits processing necessary to answer your request and maintain enabled context, subject to the Privacy notice and applicable provider terms. Orion does not promise exclusive ownership, originality, accuracy, or non-infringement of generated output; review it before reuse.
You can attach up to three supported files totalling 50 MB. Voice recording lasts up to 60 seconds and Gemini transcribes it into an editable draft. Transcription can be wrong; review it before sending. Original upload bytes are not kept in Orion's chat storage or automatically available to later messages. Uploads and transcripts remain subject to model limitations and provider processing rules.
AI output may contain errors, bias, fabricated references, or incomplete analysis. Orion has no live web search and does not offer perfect or unlimited memory. It is not a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and should not be relied on for emergencies or significant decisions without independent verification.
Do not use Orion for unlawful activity, harassment, exploitation, deception, unauthorized surveillance, or attempts to access other participants' information. Do not attack the service, defeat safeguards, automate abusive traffic, or interfere with availability. The operator may restrict access to address abuse, security risk, provider requirements, or the end of a Beta wave.
Beta chats, summaries, and selected profile facts help maintain continuity. You can review and remove memory facts and delete chats. Deleting a chat does not delete separately stored profile memory. Turning profile memory off does not erase existing facts or disable chat summaries. The Privacy notice explains these distinctions and current retention limitations.
The Beta is provided on an experimental, as-available basis without a promise of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a specific task. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer and data-protection rights. No invented liability cap, governing-law clause, or blanket waiver is asserted.
Material changes to these terms should be communicated before they take effect. Continued use does not remove any notice, consent, or other protection required by applicable law. Contact email: the-orion-project@zohomail.eu The Orion Project
